In recent years, many websites have sprung up that sell fakes and early copies of products from luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Nike.

Hearing a petition on such a threat, the Delhi High Court recently ordered the blocking of a website called www.myshoeshop.in, which sold early copies of famous shoe brands like Nike, Adidas, Louis Vuitton and New Libra at heavily discounted prices.

According to Judge Navin Chawla, the plaintiff has successfully established a prima facie case for the grant of an injunction.

After reviewing the content of the website, the Court concluded that the defendant violated not only the trademark rights of New Balance, but also those of other well-known brands such as Nike, Adidas and Louis Vuitton.
